Summary:
The Colorado End-of-Life Options Act (aka MAID) was enacted in 2016. The basic tenets of the Act enables terminally ill patients to choose when they will end their life. There are myriad benefits and burdens associated with this Option.

Learning Objectives:

  • Educate Social Workers about the process of enacting MAID
  • Challenges associated with MAID
  • Proposed revisions to MAID

Denise Bickel, PhD, has 20+ years' experience in advance care planning, palliative care, and hospice.

Who Can Attend this Event?
This event is free for active CSCSW. Non-members may attend for $45. Current social work students may attend for free after submitting proof of student status (copy of valid student id, current course schedule from registrar, etc).
