Summary:
In this session, we will explore key topics such as understanding health disparities, social determinants of health, healthcare access and utilization, and how social workers working in a clinical setting can promote health equity in their work and practice.

About Alex:

Alex (he/him) is the Program Manager for HIV Prevention at Children's Hospital Colorado and Adjunct Faculty member at University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work. Alex has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, i.e. college health centers, safety-net hospital systems, emergency room behavioral health, with a focus on fostering health equity. 

Who Can Attend this Event?
This event is free for active CSCSW. Non-members may attend for $45. Current social work students may attend for free after submitting proof of student status (copy of valid student id, current course schedule from registrar, etc).
