Summary:
As technology advances at a rapid pace, job search has gotten more complex. This workshop shows
you firsthand what an employer is looking for and looking at when hiring, combined with the simple
steps that will transform your search. 1.5 CEUs.

• LinkedIn’s role in job search and simple steps to improving your profile’s results
• Behind the scenes look at how nonprofits are using LinkedIn Recruiter
• How AI has changed the job search landscape and ways to stand out with or without using it

About the Presenter:
Graduating from GSSW macro practice in 2006, Courtney Schwartz, MSW, CPRW quickly found her passion for career services. From case manager to program developer, program manager and director she has sat at all ends of the applicant and hiring table, with expertise in resume writing and job search coaching.

Soon she found folks outside the nonprofit realm seeking her services, so in 2013 she started A Foot in the Door Consulting. In 2022, after almost a decade simultaneously in nonprofit and for-profit work, she left her role as Director of Programs at EFAA transitioning full time to her business.

In addition to certifications from PARWCC, Courtney leverages the insights gained as hiring-manager when supporting her job seeking clients. So in 2024, she leveled up that expertise as non-profit recruiter at Rooted Hire. This allows her to shift her coaching approach to meet the trends seen by employers.

Courtney’s love for teaching is simple: relevant and practical concepts provide “ah-ha” moments and real results.

Who Can Attend this Event?
This event is free for active CSCSW members. Non-members may attend for $45. Current social work students may attend for free after submitting proof of student status (copy of valid student id, current course schedule from registrar, etc). CEU certificates will not be issued those who register as a student.
