Presentation by Sylvia Schyberg, LCSW


Summary:
In this presentation we dive into your questions of Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. We will touch on the basics, and also explore some of the ‘short hand’ and ‘pitfalls’, in order to clarify some of the key concepts, and get into nuances. We will discuss the importance of knowing our own system. This salon is interactive and somewhat experiential in nature. 1.5 CEUs.

  • Attendees will learn the key concepts of Internal Family Systems Therapy
  • Attendees will be able to clarify some pitfalls and nuances of the
    model
  • Attendees will gain more clarity about their personal system


About the Sylvia:
Sylvia Schyberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in working with individuals who are looking for IFS therapy or consultation. She is a level 3 trained, Certified IFS therapist and IFSI Approved Clinical Consultant. She maintains a private practice in Colorado Springs, CO.

With over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field, she is working with a broad spectrum of situations, such as cultural difficulties, military life issues, adoption and attachment issues, child development, behavior and emotional problems, parenting as well as trauma concerns.

Sylvia grew up in Germany, and moved to the US after marrying a service member. She went to school in Washington State, and is a graduate of Auburn University and the University of Alabama. She received a Certificate in Animal and Human Health Connection from Denver University in 2011. For the complementary approaches she is a Reiki Master, has a a Certificate in Sound Healing and is in training for shamanic practices.

Yes, we will be recording this Salon. The recording will be shared with everyone registered for the event. We can only issues CEU certificates for live attendance.


Who Can Attend this Event?
This event is free for active CSCSW members. Non-members may attend for $45. Current social work students may attend for free after submitting proof of student status (copy of valid student id, current course schedule from registrar, etc). CEU certificates will not be issued those who register as a student
